Only about 240 are now sold and they only get sold every chance Van Halen goes on tour. So for the last 60 or so guitars it is until Eddie gets to play them live that they get released. The guitars have been released as Eddie tours. The first 70 or so sold during the 2004 tour with Hagar. This guitar is from the second tour, the reunion tour with David Lee Roth, and was played and signed in May 2008. After each show, Eddie signs the guitar, dates it, and a clear protective coat is placed over the signature to preserve it. That is it. The guitar is not altered in any other way, and is exactly as Eddie left it after he played Manchester New Hampshire in May of 2008. This of course was part of the reunion tour with Roth. It was their first reunion in 24 years! The tour grossed over $95 million. This is one of those very few guitars that Eddie hand stripped himself and the released for public sale. Each of the guitars in the series is different. They come in five color configurations. This one, yellow over black, is one of the classics.  This guitar has not been played since Eddie left it. It has his DNA both under the finish and over the finish. Plus it comes with an original authenticity certificate signed by Eddie himself, as well as a photograph of Eddie playing the guitar on stage. Also included with the guitar is the original case which is embroidered with the logo EVH on the inside lining. THIS UNIQUE SERIES HAS NO PRECEDENTS.
