Description
azalea59 Store 1941 Baldwin 9' Concert Grand Piano! Last One Built Before World War II This magnificent 1941 Baldwin Concert Grand Piano is believed to be the last concert grand manufactured by Baldwin before Howard Hughes bought their factory and converted it for the war effort (remember the "Spruce Goose"?). It has been lovingly played and cared-for by it's current owner of 10 years, a local piano instructor and musician, and she purchased it right here in Charlottesville, Virginia from a Grammy Award-winning singer and composer! It has been professionally evaluated and declared to be in outstanding condition, and besides the strings, which are newer, it is believed to be completely original. The ivories are all original with just a few very small chips at the edge of several keys. The sound and tonal range of this fabulous early Forties concert grand are simply sublime. Please send any questions and we will endeavour to promptly get accurate answers to you! We are happy to assist in arranging freight transportation, and local pick-up is certainly encouraged. Wire transfer preferred. Cashier's check also accepted, of course.
