My  X-neighbor and player Walter sold me this great tone and easy playing guitar around 1992-93. Owned prior by his brother who bought off a guy that had 2 of these, he took this gold one. This guitar serial #02288In quest for history of this guitar, although the electronics say Mosrite of California, this Guitar was built at the North Carolina factory, supported by the complimentary booklet. This guitar,  is one of not more then 25 that survived the North Carolina factory fire,  I am told in email correspondence June 2005 with Andy Mosley, Semie's older brother.  All communications are printed off and will be included with this great piece of American guitar history.Quote from Andy: "Made in Jonas Ridge, North Carolina. There were very few of these finished and none of them went to Japan. There were a number of them near finished when the factory burned down. The exact number of finished and sold I do not know, but it is less then 25. These were all made at the Mosrite factory by Semie Moseley and helpers. You have a good piece of Mosrite history." Andy MoseleyI was emailed that Semie sold these guitars to a pawn shop because of debt and may have had some seedy business partners he had to pay up to, and these guitars hit main street in a very uneventful back door adoption.If any of you Mosrite historians have anything to add, I look forward to your comments.
