Description
For sale is one brand new Triggs F-5 Mandolin. Similar to a traditional Loar style F-5 mandolin from the 1923-1924 era. It features nearly identical top thicknesses to Bill Monroe's July 9th, 1923 Loar that I documented while working for Gibson. This mandolin has a rare satin finish. Our satin finish is similar in thickness to what Gilchrist has been using on his finishes and is about half as thick as our standard gloss finish which gives it a more open sound right out of the gate. Case is not included and shipping is extra. We're no longer using flowerpots in the headstock of any of our new mandolins. This will be one of the last Triggs mandolins with a flowerpot inlay. We've built mandolins for artists like Sam Bush, Doyle Lawson, Janice Gill(the previous three artists received mandolins built by Jim while he was at Gibson), Bobby Clark, Byron Berline, Joe Carr, Josh Pinkham, Roland White, and Wayne Benson. Please visit us at www.triggsmandolins.com to see more pictures, information, and to contact us. WE WILL ENTERTAIN ANY AND ALL OFFERS. YOU MAY BE SURPRISED AT WHAT WE WILL LET THIS GO FOR.
