Description
Rocca, Giuseppe (Josef), 23 1/4" length full, 14" length body, 8" wide lower bout. Labeled "Joseph Rocca fecit O R, Premiato di Medaglie alle Esposizione di Torino, Genova Londra e Parigi I H S Taurini anno Domini 1858". Branded "R" in the mortice of the pegbox, branded "ROCA" on the neck heel, branded "ROCCA" on top/under tailpiece and once again "ROCCA" above end button. Front lower bout has three old repaired cracks with proper stitching. A solid instrument.
