In my opinion, the Balanced Action isone of the best tenors Selmer ever made. To me, they sound just as sweet as the Mark VIs and Super Balanceds, and they still have the keywork that made Selmer famous. This one is a beautiful instrument. The lacquer that remains is original, though I'd optimistically put that number at about 10%, but the horn has that gorgeous 'classic axe' look that gives you instant street cred at the gig. This instrument appears to have had a recent rebuild, as the pads and action are very crisp and tight, and this is a wonderfully playing horn as is. Pics tell the rest of the story.
