Made popular by jazz greats throughput history, the Mark VI is generally considered the finest saxophone ever made, and pristine examples can command prices well in excess of $12000, and saxes of the five-digit vintage like this one (69702) are generally considered the best instruments. This saxophone is in excellent condition. It is absolutely gorgeous. I believe it has been relacquered but if so it is one if the nicest jobs I've seen. I see no signs of buffing and the engraving is crisp and sharp. There are no major dents. Pads and action are very good and this horn plays great as is. Neck is original and the serial numbers match.
